My favorite by far is Christina Rossetti's "In the Bleak Midwinter" which we used to sing at the annual Messiah Sing at my college. Sadly, the instigators retired and gave up on the effort, so I seldom hear it any more, but it's always nice when someone mentions something out of the ordinary.Owlfarmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15373358232893937182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2344548830618247839.post-15414640915927581532009-01-09T14:16:00.000-07:002009-01-09T14:16:00.000-07:00Thanks, Melanie!I agree about the angels in the ro...Thanks, Melanie!

I agree about the angels in the roof as well!Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07197591307149394913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2344548830618247839.post-86821655532485117752008-12-31T08:55:00.000-07:002008-12-31T08:55:00.000-07:00Happy New Year! The angels in the roof remind me of the Medieval wooden beam carvings in church roofs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2344548830618247839.post-37017595807730186282008-12-30T22:25:00.000-07:002008-12-30T22:25:00.000-07:00Happy New Year Margaret :DHappy New Year Margaret :DAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16402753481785047700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2344548830618247839.post-80350871118518622052008-12-30T14:53:00.000-07:002008-12-30T14:53:00.000-07:00Last year was the first time I heard that particul...Last year was the first time I heard that particular Christmas carol in your post- Peter, Paul and Mary sang it in their Christmas album, which I received as a birthday gift.
